Huawei Nova 7i Could Launch On February 14
Huawei already started 2020 with big plans for the Huawei P40 series, however, it will also come up with new mid-range smartphones. The company announced that it will launch a new smartphone called Huawei Nova 7i on February 14 in Malaysia. Interestingly enough, this isn’t a new smartphone but a re-branded Huawei Nova 6 SE that was unveiled in China earlier this month.
The Huawei Nova 7i features a Kirin 810 SoC which comes paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphones come with EMUI 10 and Android 10 straight out the box. However, it lacks Google’s services due to the US ban. The specs are built-in around a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD display which features a punch hole in the upper-left corner for the 16MP selfie camera.
Moving around to the back we have a Quad-Camera setup. It comprises a 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth modules. The Nova 7i draws power from a 4,200mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support. It is said to charge the battery from flat 0 to 70% in 30 minutes.
The original Nova 6 SE was available in Magic Night Black, Snow Sky, and Forest Green colors. We believe that Huawei will repeat these colors with the Nova 7i. But also, it may add one or two new colors to make it more exclusive. Unfortunately, we don’t have a clue about the price of the handset in Malaysia. But in China, the 6 SE is sold for CNY ($320/€290).
