Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G Revealed Its Battery Size
Oppo will unveil the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro 5G next month. The latter will sport a curved edge display and flaunt a glass body with a thickness of 7.7mm (excluding the camera bump).
While that does sound impressive, we were worried this would come at the cost of battery capacity. Yet now Oppo VP Brian Shen has said that won’t be the case and the Reno 3 Pro 5G will pack a 4,025 mAh battery, which is solid even by today’s standards.
For comparison, some of the recently launched phones in the lineup like the Reno 2 and Reno Ace pack a 4,000 mAh cell and have a thickness of 9.5mm and 8.7mm, respectively. Not much is known about the Reno 3 Pro 5G right now, but it’s confirmed to support dual-mode 5G and will likely sport a punch-hole display. We should know more about it in the coming days
Just yesterday Oppo VP Brian Shen teased the upcoming Reno 3 Pro 5G on Twitter, with an image that shows part of its right side. Not 24 hours later, the Internet has produced a full frontal render of the smartphone, so without further ado, here it is in all its glory. Ladies and gentlemen, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G.
As you can see, there’s a punch-hole on the left for the single selfie cam, which is either smaller than most, or the handset itself is rather big. The Reno 3 Pro 5G will be the Chinese company’s first dual-mode 5G smartphone (that means it works with both standalone and non-standalone 5G networks).
It is going to get official next month. Expect a 7.7mm thin profile (excluding the camera bump), which will apparently net it the title of slimmest dual-mode 5G smartphone yet (not that there are a lot of those at the moment anyway). The Reno 3 Pro 5G has a curved touchscreen, that according to past leaks is a 6.5″ FHD+ AMOLED with 90Hz refresh rate.
The Reno 3 Pro 5G is “likely” to have a 4,500 mAh battery, with 30W fast charging but no wireless charging. Also from rumorland comes info about the Snapdragon 735 chipset running things, aided by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will have a 32 MP selfie cam, and a quad rear setup, with a main 60 MP shooter.
